NE SKY is a virtual reality project developed in response to the perceived needs of

The World Science Festival Brisbane.

The term ‘distance’ has evolved to many different meanings for everyone this year. From being physically away from someone or even emotionally distanced from a loved one. The sky acts as a metaphor that grounds us together because at the end of the day, no matter the distance

we all still live under the same sky.

‘One Sky’ is an Augmented Reality digital installation that provides an immersive experience to share heartfelt stories and messages in real time.

‘One Sky’ runs based off data inputs by the public which fuels everything that you see in this exhibition, making every contribution a valuable part of change. Having in mind the goal of bringing comfort and a sense of hope to the community despite all the chaos that we live in today, allowing strangers to take a step back from reality to share parts of their stories or words of encouragement to one another.

Recreating precious moments that may

seem far away during this period of uncertainty.

‘One Sky’ will be the next revolutionary icon that captures Brisbane’s stories in a fresh light, these are what you will expect.
